"Constantly getting double-charged on VAT, stopped using them"
Don't get fooled by low album prices, the devil lies in the shipping costs.
Ktown4U used to be good but thanks to constant issues regarding shipping/VAT fees for orders to the EU, I decided to not use them anymore. I constantly got double-charged on VAT/import fees because this company can't get their crap together. I pay VAT on checkout but when the package arrives, the delivery company tells me that VAT has not been paid yet - so I have to pay it again (most of the time a value between 30 and 50 US dollars!). This happened with at least 60-80% of all the orders I placed with Ktown. Ktown claims the issue is not with them and blames the shipping company - which is a lie. I constanly order from other companies in South Korea and other places around the world and I never ever had this problem with any other company or sender. No matter what shipping company I use when ordering at Ktown (UPS, DHL Express, etc.) - it's always the same: the shipping company tells me that VAT has not been paid yet. This furthermore proves that the issue lies on Ktown's side. Friends that ordered at Ktown report the exact same issue by the way. Having to pay VAT fees twice because of Ktown's incompetence on top of already way too high shipping costs is unacceptable. I found other stores that are more reliable and cheaper.
Something positive as a final note: Besides being double-charged on VAT, I never really had an issue with Ktown. Shipments mostly arrived on time (sometimes they run out of stock when it comes to really popular releases and you have to wait a week or two - which I don't mind) and albums were never damaged.

"I have been waiting for over a month…"
I have been waiting for over a month for my albums to ship! All items are showing as 'Ready to ship', so what is going on?!

Because of the time difference I have waited up through the night to contact someone within South Korea's working hours. However, you can not even talk to someone! I am only able to talk to a robot that says orders are shipped within 3-7 working days! My order has been ready to ship for much longer than that!!!!!

Never ordering from here again.

"Rude staff, I was asked to leave before my time"
This is a review for KTown in London. Because of the bad weather, I came late to see my friends in KTown. My friends has finished eating when I arrived. When I came in my friends were told that they can only stay for 20 min more. We told the staff that I just arrived and my friends will leave me there for a while to finish my food. When my friends were ready to leave and went to the counter to check out, the staff told them that I should leave with them as their time was finished. This is not even a reservation but a walk in. Rudely, I was asked to leave my food and pay at the counter with my friends.I was still chewing my food at that time. The staff was rude to me when I complained telling me that there are rules that they follow. The rule was customers can only stay for 1 1/2 hours. Technically I have only been there for 15 minutes. This is going to be my first and last visit here at KTown.

"No desktop version website. Expensive Shipping. Used to be good"
I used to order a lot from ktown4u, despite their expensive shipping. While everything usually arrived in good condition and with a lot of bubble wrap, I got hugely disappointed with my last order and when they decided to change their website and removed the desktop version. Their mobile site is imo terrible and overall I don't understand why a company would even think of removing a computer compatible website version and go full mobile. It's making no sense at all and just was the worst move ever.

My last big order on their website "got lost". The tracking status said my order had arrived in my country and after a while it said it was in delivery but then the tracking status suddenly changed to saying the package was being sent back. I contacted ktown4u as well as DHL and only got the answer that "the package never was in actual delivery."
So why was it in my country then? And why did it get sent back?

Ktown4u refused to refund me despite proof of DHL having sent back the package without my knowledge, so I had to open a case via Paypal to get only partial of my money back. It took over 3 months for my order to even arrive back in their warehouse. Also I would have had to pay shipping TWICE just to get my order shipped out again, hence why I decided for a refund instead.
At least they were considerably fast in responding my inquiry but it still got dragged out a lot because of the timezone differences

Overall my last experience with ktown4u was very unpleasant.
Nonetheless their packaging was always good and they used a whole ton of bubble wrap for every order to properly protect your goods.

I am only giving 2** because of my last orders issue, the missing desktop version website (like, be for real?!), and their expensive shipping while still having to pay taxes.

"Nice quality"
I have purchased from them like 10 times or more, for the red velvet, gidle and twice albums. It's very fast of the shipping and the packaging is nice.

"Positive experience my first time using the site"
My first time using the site. I preordered a Korean magazine that is difficult to find on other sites. They actually shipped it out the day before the official release date. The shipping was in a sturdy box. I am very happy. Shipping cost was expensive but worth getting my item in good condition. This website will be my go to source for ordering Korean magazines. I already put in another pre-order at the site.

I know often people only write when they have bad experiences with a site so I just wanted to say that I had a good experience here.

"Good company but overprices shipping"
Good company. I ordered albums through preorder but they took around 3 weeks after release date to be shipped and I feel that they overcharge for shipping. Package was very secure and they have a good range of items.

"Called me a lier and blocked me out of my account!"
I bought a The Boyz album I entered for it to be signed ( now this was my first time doing this so I did not know till a few days later it was a winners only get signed albums, as they do not make this clear anywhere) weeks go by and no notice was ever posted on who won, so I thought that must mean everyone is getting a signed one ( yes this does happens, other places do this when they have one for everyone who ordered because not a lot ordered ) well I got mine and it was not signed. I thought ok weird I saw NO NOTICE WHAT SO EVER ANYWHERE! So I contacted them asking about this they told me only winners get the signed albums so I told them I saw no list of winners. I had been checking everyday, I also told them they should make it clear that this is a competition as this confused me at first and they made it seem everyone would be getting one. Well after a bit of back and forth they called me a liar about not seeing the notice and that they took it down all ready ( which they don’t to for other groups ) so I asked where is the notice they sent me a link that does not work I told them this and got no reply, I then asked well for your mistake maybe I get a part refund as this was your fault not informing everyone again nothing. After of bit of saying hello are you there I still got nothing, so I told them I will talk to PayPal about this. I did and only asked for a refund for that album not the whole order that was about $100 dollars just the one album, after waiting they sent a notice to PayPal saying the would give me the refund if I sent my stuff back, if I where to send just that album back it would cost me more to ship it to them then what I would get back. So I canceled the refund and said o well it is what it is, after this I went to check on ktown4u about some other albums I ordered from them as the only problem was just that one album well I try to log in and it won’t let me! So I tried about 5 more times till I figured out they locked me out of my own account!!! I can’t get in to delete any personal information or check on other orders. I’m so upset they got this petty over me asking for just a bit of money back after they made a mistake and all I did was call them out on it! Now I’m wondering if I am even going to get my other things I paid for or am I going to have to fight with them over this.

"I ordered quite a few times from…"
I ordered quite a few times from ktown4u in the past 4 years and I was always happy about the experience. Idk why other people have so much trouble but I ordered some albums a few days ago and they were already shipped. They don't have everything in stock but the prices are lower compared to other shops.

"My album arrived quickly"
After reading all the reviews I decided to write about my experience with Ktown4U. I preordered EXO's DFTF, and it arrived about 5 days after the album's release. There were a few scratches, and I would've preferred to have received more shipping details just in case of any issues but fortunately I didn't have any other trouble.

"Terrible, I will never be buying from here eevr again"
I pre ordered Rosé's solo album all the way in April of this year and the status of my order was "shipped out" however it is now November and I have contacted customer service multiple times and they have NOT helped me at all and I can't get a refund. The tracking number doesn't work and their Customer Service is terrible. I have tried contacting everywhere and to this day I still have got nothing. i will never be buying from here ever again.

"They ignored my refund request and shipped the order anyway."
I wish I could give them zero star or negative stars. I placed an order on 10/15/2021. The order included two main items. On 10/21/2021 I received an email which said one of the items was cancelled and I could either get a partial refund for that item only or I can request a full refund for everything that was in the order. I requested a full refund using the link they provided right after I received the email. However, I only received a partial refund a few days later and following that, I received an email that said the rest of the items in that order were shipped. I was shocked. I have tried several times to contact the customer service. Or maybe I should say their customer service doesn't exist. It has been very difficult to try to talk to a real person, most of the times I got automatic replies from a robot. The communication so far has been highly inefficient. They do not a telephone number or an email address, and you must use the chat app which is the only customer service channel. I live in North America and there'a a 13-hour time difference between where I live and where they are. They are only available from 8am-5pm local time which is night time for me. It's been very hard to find a time when I can talk to them. If only they let you send them an email. So far I’ve been told that they never received my refund request. Not sure how that happened since I definitely submitted my request. When I suggested it might be system error (they made a mistake with the email, so I assumed something else might have gone wrong), the customer service person just went silent. I’ve also been told that once the shipment is initiated, I can’t get a refund anymore. I asked follow-up questions and got no reply. That customer service person just disappeared! So they would just force the stuff on you even when you don’t want it and there’s no way for you to get a refund. What a great way to boost sales!

"Slow shipping"
I preordered Lalisa, and it only just got here, not on with the amount shipping was especially because I preordered over a week before. Album was also really dirty for some reason.

"NOT EVEN GETTING A REFUND"
I ordered your choice, freeze, persona and photocards on 27th June it's October now I did not receive my order. They are not responding to any emails and my money is gone ~

"I did not receive my order for two months"
I did not receive my order for more than two months. First they accepted my order for items in stock, than they put it on hold for more than a month because they did not have some items. Later they changed the status of the order to 'shipped out', but the courier confirmed only the label was printed and the actual package was never sent. The customer chat is useless - they just copy and paste the order status displayed on their web page and close the chat without any explanation. I decided to charge back on my card.
